From Wendi at the YMCA of Central Kentucky..... Clay Aiken's fans rock and I do not mean the concert last night in Lexington (July 12 @ Rupp Arena). I mean over 50 tickets donated for the YMCA of Central Kentucky to share with their camp kids and families. We have a large variety of different families. Some with disabilities, some average, some struggling, but they all come to the YMCA. They came into camp this morning saying how great the experience was. To attend a concert might not mean much to most people but for some it can change a life. The combination of the power of positive music and a stranger willing to give the gift of a concert ticket is a very strong experience. I had one mom get very emotional. She got to be a hero to her kid and take them to a big time concert. Thank you to everyone who had a part in donating these tickets. It has meant a lot and made a difference.
